Learn about wine in an informal fun setting. From novice to expert extraordinaire, you’ll learn something no matter what. Plus, you get to customize the class according to your guests’ wine knowledge. According to Chef Pierre, "In France, wine is considered food and is an integral part of the dining experience." Below are just a few of the types of classes we offer:
Beginner's Tasting Learn how to look for different characteristics of certain wines. From all-white wine tasting to all reds, to a combination of both, we’ll recommend some really nice wines to work with.
Vertical Tasting Tasting the same wine but from different years will teach you how wine changes as it ages. Certain flavors become more predominant as the wine ages.
Horizontal Tasting Learn how different wineries produce very different wines: Whether the climate is cooler, the wine is aged in oak, or the amount of sunlight the grape receive, they all impact the final outcome.
Blind Tasting A great way to test your knowledge of wines, and get the competitive juices flowing
- Wine Olympics Each person brings a bottle of wine in a brown paper bag and $10 for the prize. Depending on the number of people, everyone samples the wines, ranking their favorites as Gold, Silver or Bronze.
- Which Wine is Whose Blind Tasting We provide wines that you taste blind and everyone tries to guess what kind of wine is being served.
Gastronomical Wine Tour of France Food and wine pairing course from regions around France, like Alsace, Burgundy, Provence, Bordeaux, etc.
Elegant Wine Dinners Seated gourmet extravaganza with wine carefully selected for each course.
Frappas Tappas with a French Twist. Serving appetizer size portions of tasty tidbits that are a perfect combination with a particular wine—like Shrimp Foie Gras with Maple Syrup served with Sauternes.
World Wide Wine Tour Learn about some of the lesser known regions around the world. Like New Zealand, for example, which is known for its Sauvignon Blanc, or Australia, which is known for it’s shiraz.
