I took a class with Chef Pierre at the BCAE where I learned that he also teaches private cooking lessons. For my boyfriend, Brian, I thought this would be a perfect birthday gift. Brian has complained that he has trouble cook- ing the “perfect steak” on the stove. Not only did Chef Pierre customize our private class, but Le Chef Mobile helped me successfully surprise Brian! He came back to our apartment and was welcomed by a group of friends and Chef Pierre! He taught us about the differences between steaks, how to season them and how to create some delicious accompanying sauces.
For dessert, Chef Pierre taught us how to make crepes that are now a staple in our diet. Brian and I are now pros and use crepes as a dessert when we entertain. He can now make the batter on his own and successfully flip the crepes without them tearing!
This night was so memorable because of Pierre and Jeanine – they are hilarious, very organized and extremely knowledgeable about cooking. Our friends and I still talk about it constantly.
If you are looking for an evening full of great friends, lots of laughs and incredible food – I highly recommend Chef Pierre!

I chose “Le Chef Mobile” to cater a surprise birthday party for my wife. I had never planned a catered dinner party for 24 people before, so I was pretty nervous about it, but Jeanine calmed me down and talked through the possibilities. I chose the “Frapas” menu, since it was the latest, and I liked the idea of tasting several small plates.
The scallops in saffron cream, duck confit with raspberries, chicken in whiskey sauce, and eggplant tacos were delicious and beautifully presented. I was torn between talking to the guests, and hanging out in the kitchen with Chef Pierre and Jeanine and talking about cooking.
My mom made a cake, with fresh flowers on top, and after Jeanine presented it, Chef Pierre put a flower blossom on each of the first plates to be served. It was a nice touch. My wife knew that something was happening that evening, but Le Chef Mobile was the surprise ele- ment for the party. She said it was one of the best birthday parties she’d ever had.
